Heather Appleby Johnson is the Lower Campus School Counselor. She graduated with her Masters in School Counseling from Georgia State University. She enjoys working with students of all ages, but especially loves her littles! In her free time, Heather likes to go hiking with her husband and two dogs, Ellie and Ragnar!
Elissa Keller is the Upper Campus Counselor. She graduated with her Masters in School Counseling from Mercer University. She enjoys educating students about social skills and career possibilities. When she's not hanging out with students, she enjoys being in the sunshine and playing with her dogs, Lenny and Carl.

Staying with the Pack
Our student incentive program seeks to encourage and reward good attendance habits. Students are able to earn individual and classroom rewards for perfect attendance!
ICSAtlanta Attendance Policy
Research shows that consistent school attendance is crucial to student success. Our attendance policy works to create a framework to support attendance and is also in compliance with GA State Compulsory Laws. Check out page 11 in the Student Handbook for more information
Excuse notes
If your student is absent for a purpose that is considered excused (see handbook) please send documentation within 5 days of your student's absence. Excuse notes must be received in hard copy. Electronic notes (including email notification) cannot be accepted. The excuse note will be filed and the student's record will be updated to reflect the excused absence.

Our Mission
The mission of the ICSAtlanta School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate program for all students that focuses on academic achievement, social, personal, career, and multicultural/global citizenship development. School counselors work closely with faculty, parents and the community to advocate for, and ensure that we meet the needs of all students, remove barriers, offer equity and access to information, and provide a safe and respectful learning environment as these are the keys to excellence and lifelong success
